Product Overview

Sodium sulfite is an inorganic compound.
It is white particle powder at room temperature, has sulfur dioxide smell, stable when dry, sensitive to moisture.
Soluble in water and glycerin, insoluble in ethanol, the aqueous solution was alkaline, 

the aqueous solution was alkaline to litmus test paper and phenolphthalein,

and the acid produced toxic sulfur dioxide gas, 1% of the aqueous solution pH is 8.3~9.4, with strong reducibility.

Sodium sulfite Application

1. Used as stabilizer for artificial fiber, bleaching agent for fabric, photographic developer,

 bleaching and deoxidizing agent, flavor and dye reducing agent, lignin removing agent for paper making, etc.
2. Reducing bleach, which has a bleaching effect on food and a strong inhibitory effect on oxidase in plant food.
3. Used as common analytical reagent and photosensitive resistance material.
4. Used for trace analysis and determination of tellurium and niobium

 and preparation of developing solution, and also used as reducing agent.
5. The printing and dyeing industry, as a deoxidizer and bleaching agent,

is used for the cooking of various cotton fabrics,
