Product Overview

Magnesium fluoride is a compound of a halogen element fluorine and a metal element magnesium, also known as magnesium difluoride, having a molecular formula of MgF2 and a molecular weight of 62.3018. A colorless tetragonal crystal or powder, odorless, insoluble in water and alcohol, slightly soluble in dilute acid, soluble in nitric acid. It can be used in the optical glass and ceramic industry and the electronics industry. It is used to make pottery, glass, co-solvent for smelting magnesium metal, lens for optical instruments and filter for filters. A fluorescent material for a cathode ray screen, a refracting agent and a soldering agent for an optical lens, and an applicator for a titanium pigment.
